Scaffold Tower Hire Prices

Short answer: at the time of writing (September 2026) our scaffold tower hire runs from £69.99 a week for a 3m folding tower to £349.99 a week for a 14m stairway tower. The tower most people need — a 6m tower for the gutter of a two-storey house — costs between £129.99 and £169.99 a week, depending on the platform size. What decides the price

Working height is the biggest factor. Each extra metre adds frames, braces and stabiliser length, so the weekly rate climbs in steps of roughly £20 per metre on most ranges. Buying more height than you need is the most common way people overpay — the height guide shows what each working height actually reaches.

Platform size comes second. A 750mm single-width tower is the cheapest way to get a given height and is the one that fits through a doorway or down a side return. The full 2.5m × 1.35m deck costs a little more but gives two people room to work. The size guide explains which fits where.

Tower type matters for specific jobs: AGR towers are specified on many managed sites and cost slightly more, and stairway towers — climbed by a staircase rather than a ladder — are the most expensive per metre.

Guardrails, toeboards, stabilisers, lockable castors and the manufacturer's assembly guide are part of every hire. There is no deposit and no card hold. Delivery and collection are free within 30km of our Cheshunt yard — most of North and East London, south Hertfordshire and west Essex — and a flat £45 covers both legs from 30km to about 90km. How to keep the cost down

• Measure before you book. Working height is roughly platform height plus two metres. Buy the height you need, not the next one up.
• Go narrow where you can. If the job is a single elevation, a 750mm tower does it for less and fits through the house.
• Plan the week. Hire runs by the week, so line up all the work at height — gutters, windows, painting — into one hire rather than two.
• Long jobs: for hires of a month or more, see long-term hire; trades hiring regularly should open a trade account.
