Why sites specify AGR

Because of the build-up sequence, not the tower. On a standard tower the operative fits the guardrail from the platform they are standing on; with AGR the guardrail goes in from the level below and is already there when they arrive. Most principal contractors write that method into the RAMS, and a standard tower will not satisfy it.

Two platform sizes

  • 2.5m × 0.75m — still passes a doorway, for narrow access on a managed site
  • 2.5m × 1.35m — two operatives with materials, for external elevations

Site managers usually want the EN 1004-1 conformity information and the manufacturer's assembly guide for the site file. Both are available — see certifications — and we will send them the same day you ask.
