Why a stairway tower

One thing a standard tower cannot do: let you climb it like a staircase. The RISE frame carries a proper internal stair with treads and a handrail, in place of the ladder rungs you would otherwise be climbing one rung at a time with a tool in your free hand.

What that changes

On a short job it changes very little. On a long one it changes everything: crews go up and down dozens of times a day, and every one of those trips is quicker, steadier and leaves a hand free. It is also the honest answer when several people share one tower across a shift.

Best for

  • Long jobs where people go up and down repeatedly
  • Carrying tools and materials up without climbing one-handed
  • Crews sharing a single tower across a shift
  • Industrial plant rooms, halls and large-volume interiors

What it is not

This is a mobile tower that you climb by stair. It is not a tower for standing over a staircase — it needs firm, level ground under all four castors like any other mobile tower. If your job is working above a flight of stairs, call us before you book and we will tell you honestly whether we have the right equipment for it.

Access

The base is 2.5m × 1.35m, so it will not pass through an internal doorway assembled. The components will, but plan the route — at 256kg to 570kg of parts depending on height, the carry is the part that costs time. Tell us at booking where we can park and how far the carry is.

Questions about these towers

Can I stand it on a staircase?

No — and no mobile tower should be. A stairway tower is a normal mobile tower that you climb by stair instead of by ladder; it needs firm, level ground under all four castors like any other. Working over a flight needs a tower built for it with independently adjustable legs, which we do not currently carry. Call us and we will tell you straight.

Why a staircase instead of a ladder?

You go up with both hands free and carry tools and materials without climbing one-handed, and the crew moves up and down all day without the fatigue a ladder frame builds. On a long job that is a safety point and a productivity point at once.

How much access do you need to deliver one?

The base is 2.5m x 1.35m, so it will not pass an internal doorway assembled. The components will, but the set weighs 256kg to 570kg depending on height — tell us at booking where we can park and how far the carry is.
