We are 11 miles away, which is a comfortable run in either half of the day. Delivery and collection are free — no delivery line at checkout, no fuel or congestion surcharge — and the price on the tower page is the price you pay. We cover E8, E9, E5, E2 and N16.

They also run over the boundary into Islington, Newham and Tower Hamlets, so if your address is nominally in the next borough it is very likely still on our route. Hackney shares a run with Islington, City of London, Stratford and Finsbury Park, so if the job moves between sites in that direction it is the same delivery either way.

You choose a morning or afternoon window when you book. We do not promise timed hour slots, because on these roads that would be a promise we could not keep. Which tower for your job?

For a look rather than a job, the smallest tower that reaches is the right one — it goes up faster and moves more easily between elevations. 4m gets you over a single-storey roof; 6m puts you at a two-storey gutter. A folding tower is worth considering if you are visiting several positions in a day.

Rendering, repointing or a gable end

Gable work runs higher than gutter work — usually 7m to 8m — and it is slower, which means you want deck space for a board, a bucket and a second pair of hands. If you can reach the wall across open ground, the 1.35m platform earns its keep: fewer trips up and down is the whole saving on a rendering job.

Two questions decide the size

How high do you need to reach? Measure to the highest point you need to touch and take off about two metres — what is left is the working height, and that is the number on every tower page here. There is a worked table in the height guide.

How will it get there? In Hackney the question that usually decides the hire is not height, it is the route. Where the only way to the back of a property runs through the house, along a side return or up a communal stair, take the 750mm platform: its components pass through a standard 762mm internal door.
