Scaffold Tower Hire For Electricians

Narrow and folding towers for first fix, lighting installs and containment runs in London properties.

Scaffold Tower Hire For Electricians

Both hands on the work

Ceiling roses, downlight arrays, trunking runs, containment through a corridor — all of it is two-handed work at height. A tower gives you a platform to stand on and somewhere to put the drill down.

What most sparks hire

Folding tower

If you are moving between rooms all day, this is the one. Folds flat for transport, opens in under ten minutes, fits through a standard doorway.

Single width 750mm

For corridors, risers and plant rooms where a twin-width tower will not turn. Longer working platform than a folding tower when you are running containment.

Mobile 4m

For commercial units, retail interiors and anywhere with a higher ceiling and room to move a bigger tower along.

Isolation and safe working

Towers are aluminium — conductive. Isolate and prove dead before working near live parts, and keep the tower clear of overhead lines outdoors. Towers meet EN 1004-1; assembly should be by a PASMA-trained operative or under their supervision.

Frequently asked questions

What is the narrowest tower you hire?

750mm wide. That covers the folding tower, the single width towers and the narrow mobile towers, all of which pass through a standard internal doorway. For work in risers, corridors and occupied buildings that width is usually the deciding factor rather than the height.

Can I work over a stairwell?

Not with anything we carry, and we would rather say that than sell you the wrong thing. Working over a flight needs a tower with independently adjustable legs so the base sits level across the treads. Our stairway tower is a different product — a normal mobile tower you climb by stair rather than by ladder, standing on level ground.

Can I work near live services from a tower?

That is a question for your own risk assessment rather than for us. What the tower gives you is a stable platform with a guardrail and both hands free, which is better than a ladder for that work. Isolation, permits and PPE are yours to plan.

I only need ten minutes at height. Is a tower overkill?

For one short reach, possibly. For a day of short reaches in different rooms, the folding tower is faster than the ladder you would otherwise reposition twenty times — it opens in under ten minutes and rolls between rooms. The honest test is how many times you will move it.

What height do I need for a commercial ceiling?

Measure to the ceiling and take off about two metres of reach. A 4m working height covers most retail and office ceilings; 6m covers taller units and small warehouses. Also measure the clear height above the base — you need room to build the tower, not just to stand on it.

Can I build a tower on my own?

Most of our towers can be built by one trained person, but check the manufacturer's assembly guide for the model you have — some sizes specify two. If you are not PASMA trained or working under someone who is, add our installation service and we will build it for you.
