On a managed site, the question is not just whether the tower is certified — it is how it gets built. Advanced Guardrail (AGR) towers install the guardrail from the platform below, so the operative is never on an unprotected level during assembly or dismantling. That is the method most principal contractors expect to see in the RAMS.

Competence

Towers must be assembled, altered and dismantled by a PASMA-trained operative or under the direct supervision of one. We do not deliver a tower and walk away from that — if your team needs the manufacturer's build sequence, it comes with the tower and we can talk it through on the phone.

Will your towers satisfy our RAMS?

If your method statement specifies advanced guardrail, hire from the AGR range — the guardrail is fitted from the level below so nobody stands on an unprotected platform during assembly. A standard tower will not satisfy an AGR requirement. We will send the manufacturer's conformity documentation and assembly guide for your site file on request.

Who is allowed to build the tower on site?

Anyone building, altering, moving or dismantling a tower should be PASMA trained or working under the direct supervision of someone who is. If your team is not trained, add our installation service when you book and we will build it on delivery and take it down at collection.

What paperwork can you provide for the site file?

The manufacturer's assembly guide for the exact model supplied, and the manufacturer's conformity information. Ask when you book and it goes out the same working day. We do not issue documentation we cannot evidence — if your file needs something specific, ask before booking so we can give you a straight answer.

Can you deliver several towers on one visit?

Yes. Tell us the quantity and the working heights when you book and we schedule them together. For larger orders call rather than booking online so we can confirm the vehicle, the access and the unloading point before the day.

What do you need to know about site access?

Where the vehicle can legally stop and unload, whether the driver needs booking in or inducting, how far the carry is and whether there are stairs. None of these are dealbreakers; all of them are better known before the day than discovered on it.

Who signs off the tower inspections on site?

You do. Once the tower is on your site it is in your control, so planning, competence and inspection are yours — before first use, after assembly at each position, after any alteration, and at intervals not exceeding seven days while it stays erected. We supply equipment fit for use; we do not inspect it on your behalf.
