Why a single width tower
A standard UK internal door is about 762mm. At 750mm these components go through it — down a hallway, through a side return, into a communal stairwell — where a 1.35m platform simply stops at the frame.
The 1.8m platform
Long enough to work along, short enough to turn in a hallway. If you have a straight 2.5m run and want fewer repositions, the 2.5m × 0.75m narrow towers are the same width with a longer deck.
Advanced guardrail as standard
These towers use the advanced guardrail method — the guardrail is fitted from the platform below, so nobody stands on an unprotected level during assembly. If your site RAMS asks for AGR, this satisfies it at doorway width.
Best for
Painters and decorators on London terraces, electricians in occupied buildings, and maintenance teams working in corridors and risers.
Questions about these towers
How narrow is it?
750mm wide — it passes through a standard UK internal doorway (about 762mm) and down most side returns.
Will it really fit through a doorway?
Yes. At 750mm wide the components pass through a standard UK internal doorway, which measures about 762mm. Check the turn in a hallway as well as the door itself — a tight corner can stop a 1.8m component even when the door is wide enough.
Do these have advanced guardrails?
Yes. The single width towers use the advanced guardrail method, so the guardrail is fitted from the level below. If your site RAMS asks for AGR, these satisfy it at doorway width.
What is the difference from the 2.5m narrow towers?
Same 750mm width, longer deck. The 1.8m platform turns more easily in a hallway; the 2.5m platform means fewer repositions along a straight run.
