If a principal contractor is walking the job, the build-up method matters as much as the tower. Our AGR (Advanced Guardrail) towers fit the guardrail from the level below, so nobody stands on an unprotected platform during assembly. That is what most site managers want to see.

Delivery to site

We deliver across London with a morning or afternoon slot. Enter your postcode on any tower page and you will see the earliest delivery date before you commit. If access is restricted or there is a permit involved, tell us when you book so we can plan the drop.

Long-term hire

Running past four weeks? The weekly rate drops automatically at four weeks and above. For contracts over eight weeks, call us — we will quote you directly.

How much can I put on the platform?

Load limits are on the manufacturer's plate fitted to every tower, and the assembly guide supplied with the hire states them for that model. Please work to the plate rather than to a figure quoted over the phone. If you need the load class confirmed in writing before you book, call us and we will send the manufacturer's documentation.

Can I hire several towers for the same site?

Yes, and on one delivery. Tell us how many and the working heights when you book and we will schedule them together. For managed sites we can also send the manufacturer's conformity documentation and assembly guides for the site file — see our commercial hire page.

Does the ground need preparing?

The tower needs firm, level ground that will carry the load through the castors or base plates. Soft ground, loose paving and unbacked cellar lids are the usual problems on London builds. Adjustable legs handle a slope or a step; they do not fix soft ground, so plan spreader boards if you are on garden soil.

Do I need an AGR tower on a domestic extension?

Usually not. Advanced guardrail is specified by principal contractors on managed sites; on domestic work nobody will ask, and a standard tower built to the manufacturer's sequence is entirely legitimate. If you are working under someone else's RAMS, read it before you book — a standard tower will not satisfy an AGR requirement.

When do I need real scaffolding instead?

When people need to work on the roof slope, when the work runs the full length of an elevation for weeks, or when the structure needs to carry materials at height. A tower gives you a working platform at a point; scaffolding gives you a working deck along a building. We hire towers and will tell you honestly when you need a scaffolder instead.

Can I keep the tower on site between phases?

Yes — hire is by the week and it is yours for that period. If the programme slips, call or email before the collection date and we will extend at the same weekly rate. What we cannot do is turn up to collect and find the tower gone or still built.
