Trade Guides
For people who hire for a living
Get an account
A trade account gets you a discounted rate applied automatically, priority slots and a named contact. Approval is manual and usually same-day.
Order towers together
Delivery and collection is charged once per order, not per tower. Six towers on one order of three or more towers takes 15% off. Six separate orders take nothing off.
Book longer than you think
The weekly rate steps down from four weeks. Extending mid-hire is easy — call before the collection date and the tower simply stays with you. Finishing early does not get you a refund, so the longer booking is usually the cheaper bet on an uncertain programme.
Site documentation
We can supply, free and same-day:
- Public liability insurance certificate
- Equipment inspection records
- EN 1004-1 conformity information
- Manufacturer's assembly instructions for your RAMS
Email info@LondonScaffoldTower.co.uk with the site name and what the file needs.
Writing the method statement
The two things principal contractors look at:
Build-up method. Say which one you are using. Our AGR towers install the guardrail from the level below, so nobody is on an unprotected platform — that is the answer most site managers want.
Competence. Name the PASMA-trained person responsible for assembly and inspection, and attach their card. See the PASMA guide.
Inspection on site
Working platforms in construction from which someone could fall more than 2m must be inspected before first use in position, after any alteration, after anything affecting stability, and at intervals not exceeding 7 days. Keep the record until the work is done.
Planning delivery
Tell us at the point of order about:
- Site induction requirements and who to ask for
- Gate codes, barriers, booked loading bays or permits
- Restricted delivery windows
- Whether documentation needs to arrive with the tower
That is what turns a delivery slot into a delivery.

Frequently asked questions
Who are these guides for?
Contractors and trade customers who need the paperwork answers rather than the how-to: what documentation we can supply, what sites ask for, and how account hire works. If you want to know which tower to pick, the height and size guides are the better place to start.
