Why a mobile tower

It is the tower most jobs actually need. Lockable castors mean you move it along a wall instead of taking it down and building it again — on a long elevation that is the difference between one build and four.

Three platform sizes

  • 1.2m × 0.75m — the smallest base we hire. Stair heads, bathrooms, plant cupboards.
  • 2.5m × 0.75m — still doorway width, but 2.5m of platform to work along.
  • 2.5m × 1.35m — two operatives with materials on the deck. Needs open ground.

What comes with it

Guardrails, toeboards, stabilisers and lockable castors are part of the hire, not an extra line on the invoice. Every tower is inspected on turnaround and the assembly guide comes with it.

Before you book

Measure the narrowest point the components have to pass, the floor area including the stabiliser spread, and the clear height above the base while you build. The size guide covers all three.

Questions about these towers

Why choose a mobile tower over a folding one?

A mobile tower has lockable castors and a bigger platform, so you can work along an elevation and reposition without dismantling. A folding tower is faster to set up but has a smaller deck. If you are up there all day, take the mobile tower.

Which platform size should I take?

1.2m x 0.75m for stair heads and cupboards, 2.5m x 0.75m if you need doorway width with a longer deck, 2.5m x 1.35m if two of you are working with materials. The 1.35m platform will not pass through an internal doorway.

Can I move it with the platform loaded?

No. Never move a tower with a person or materials on the platform. Come down, clear the deck, release the castors, move it, then lock the castors and redeploy the stabilisers.
