How East London splits into three kinds of job
The inner boroughs — Hackney, Tower Hamlets and the western half of Newham — are dense Victorian terrace, converted flats, warehouse lofts and offices. Access is through the front door, parking is controlled almost everywhere, and the narrow 750mm tower is the one that fits. Jobs are sash windows, parapet gutters, back-addition roofs and high interior ceilings.
The middle ring — Walthamstow, Leyton, Stratford, Ilford and Wanstead — is Edwardian terrace and maisonettes, with the new developments around the Olympic Park. Most towers here go to two-storey houses for gutters, windows and loft dormers.
The outer boroughs — Barking and Dagenham, Redbridge and Havering — are mostly interwar semis with drives and side gates, where the full-size 1.35m deck can be wheeled round in one piece. Romford, Hornchurch and Upminster are at the far end of the run but still inside our free delivery zone.

Planning a hire in East London
Measure the narrowest door or passage the tower has to go through before choosing the width, and check whether the tower will stand on a pavement — if it will, the borough council needs to agree it first.
